What a crazy week! We have been preparing for Hurricane Irene here and I've been trying to fit in photo shoots in between! I am posting these early just in case we lose power. I know I needed to fine tune some of the photos during the shoots but with an impatient teenager that isn't always easy! :)
Thematic and Conceptual Shooting: My daughter and I went blueberry/raspberry picking...one of our must-do's every summer! I am finding that the rule to just post one photo is so hard to follow!
I included the picture below just for fun!
Self-Portrait: I decided to use a photo taken two weeks ago for my self-portrait. We had gone to Maine to visit Acadia National Park. One of the best spots to stop there is at Jordan Pond House where you can have tea and popovers with strawberry jam as you enjoy the beautiful view of Jordan Pond while you dine outdoors!
It has been a great class Brooke! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I've enjoyed and been inspired by everyone's work!

I love your perspective on the first shot. That looks like a fun tradition to do with your daughter. I very much like your self portrait also. You are so dang perty :) Hope the hurricane isn't too rough on you guys. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHi Tori!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words. I was trying to do a framing shot for the first photo. We were dodging rain drops too! Thankfully we made it through "Irene" with only minor leakage, trees/limbs down and a few hours of power outage. So devastating to see the damage elsewhere.
Good to hear you made it through the hurricane! Your self-portrait is great! Looks like you were enjoying yourself!
ReplyDeleteHi Kristi
ReplyDeleteGreat shots and neat as always. The color contrast is great. She is so lovely. I can see she love to do things with you. Your self portrait is wonderful with lovely smile.
